Istanbul, Turkey
And I’m off! Starting today I am setting forth on a new adventure, starting with a flight to Seoul this afternoon. From there, I fly to Beijing, where, after a day at the Great Wall, I will board the Trans-Mongolian train that will take me (and one of my best travelling partners, my mum) across China, Mongolia, and Russia.
My bags currently hold six cameras, a mountain of empty notebooks, and a whole lot of wool clothing that I hope will keep me warm enough when I’m in the heart of Siberia. I highly doubt I’ll have any internet time until I arrive in St. Petersburg in three weeks, but I’ve scheduled updates for every two days (so please keep reading!).
I’m about to cross 1/3 of the globe by train. Wish me luck.
