Hanoi, VietnamNow that it’s 2011, it feels as though my flight to Asia is imminent. And it truly is; I leave on the 13th, only eleven days away. Maybe I’m crazy, but one of the things I’m looking forward to most is that smell of street food and beer, of humid, sweaty air, of days and nights spent wandering unknown markets, making new friends, and feeling that my heart couldn’t possibly be more full.

Jeeze…an adventure through Asia is a pretty good way to start off a new year! I actually read an interesting article about Vietnam the other day (interesting because the author hated it, essentially) and would be curious to know what you thought of the country. I’m sure that’s a big topic to try and cover in a blog comment, but there you are. But now that I mention it…didn’t you once say you were sending a big e-mail my way?? :>
