“In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself.”

That’s a lovely quote.
We end up taking photos of all kinds of unique doors around the world too – haven’t been to any of the places pictured above though.
Too bad you were here for such a short time. It’s doubtful that we’ll visit Winnipeg again, but who knows, right? Definitely tell us next time you’re in the area for more than a few days. Hope you’re having a great weekend!
I’m a big doors and windows person…LOVED taking pics of them in India and Morocco. You just never know what lies behind them and I love to dream about what does!
Great compilation of photos, especially enjoy the one from Ubud!
Mina – I often don’t even realize that I take a lot of similar photographs, but apparently I love doors! I’ll be sure to let you know if I’m in Montreal again…
Andi – I totally agree! India and Morocco have beautiful doors; I only had access to my photos from Asia last night but I wish I could have added a few from Morocco!
Ekua – Thank you! The door in Ubud leads to a temple.
do you know the moment when you realized there was a door and a key?
I really don’t know, but I think the idea was solidified for me in the past year. I think the idea has been brewing in me for ages, though…
