I have a confession to make. I know absolutely nothing about photography.
All I know is that I love it, and I have fun with it, but that I know nothing about technique or even most of my camera’s settings. I always have my Harinezumi with me, and on a day to day basis I use a fairly standard Canon point-and-shoot; I’ve always promised myself that I would buy a beautiful SLR or something equally as fancy and expensive. See? I don’t even know the real names for cameras. I know that one day I will take photography classes (another promise to myself) but for now I’ll just continue to photograph what I enjoy photographing, in the way that I know how.

Okay. I know this post is old, but really. You don’t need a fancy DSLR. Take it from someone who has one. Sure, you can take pretty pictures (some of my favorites from a trip to Spain are here: http://domestiphobia.net/2011/06/08/the-thing-about-spain/), but there’s just something about your style – the honesty, the improv, the grit – they’re absolutely perfect. They make me want to chuck my fancy Nikon and start over.
I know nothing about photography either but I think I can distinguish great pictures from so-so and yours are just beautiful! I have only discovered your blog now and I started with your first post.great stuff! 🙂
Brenna I am going through your archives! You are an amazing writer! I feel like we are bonding just by reading your blog posts! Let’s hang IRL when we cross paths.
