Hong Kong, Hong Kong
As usual, I took far too many photos of Hong Kong, particularly of the nightly light show and of the markets of Kowloon. I found these markets so interesting, whole streets of goldfish or flowers or chirping birds.
I am now in Phuket, in the south of Thailand, but I am only here for 12 hours. Although I’ve already indulged in a few Chang beers, some yellow curry, and a ridiculously great Thai massage, I am ready to leave this place; its pulsating streets full of clubs and tourist shops and overpriced food, not to mention its dirty and crowded beach, have made me even more excited for a slightly less intense place to call home for a few days. So on I go, to the island of Koh Lanta, where I’ll meet up with an American girl I met in Bangkok, watch each and every sunset, and drink as much coconut juice as I possibly can.
If I don’t have any internet access, or if I am too busy with the sand and the sea, I apologize. But really, can you blame me?

I visited Hong Kong for a couple weeks spring of 09 and the markets of Kowloon were my favorite. I couldn’t believe all the fish and birds and flowers. It was so interesting.
Love the photos! Safe travels!
hong kong seems like it would be such an interesting place. love your shoes!
& no, i certainly won’t blame you if you don’t update for the next few…..a nice quiet beach and beautiful sunsets? yes please!
i like the many photos you take. you make me want to go there
Rhianna – Yes, isn’t Kowloon amazing? I loved it. Thanks for your comment!
Kisha – HK was indeed interesting, but I have to admit I am very, very happy to be on the beach at the moment! Nothing beats the sun and the sound of the surf…
Zablon – Thank you! I take lots and lots of photos, sometimes too many. You should definitely check out HK one day!
here is only one thing better than shopping in Hong Kong, and that’s eating. From small noodle joints to upscale French restaurant, you will locate all sorts of restaurant, eating hall and snack stall on earth in Hong Kong. Here I found small amount of Hong-Kong-styled snacks online (yummiexpress.freetzi.com). This is definitely a good choice before I have $$ for another trip.
