These humid days in Japan are making me miss the cool summers of Scotland, making me miss 99s that don’t melt, French food in Grassmarket, lounging in the Princes Street Gardens, and toes in the cold Atlantic.

All of my photos taken before early 2009 (everything from Edinburgh, for example) were taken with a dinky little Canon Powershot that I bought in 2005. I now use a Canon G10, but am hoping to get an SLR in the next few months. Let me know what you end up buying!

Thanks! Now that I think of it, I think I’ve asked you before also, hah. I’m rocking a G9, and also hoping to get SLR! I was going to go for the G11, but I think I’ll get something a little more sexy.

My name is Brenna Holeman and I drink a lot of whisky. No, wait. That’s not how I want to start. After travelling to more than 100 countries over the past 17 years, many of them solo, I tend to write about travel a lot, but I write about other things, too: getting dumped, buying way too much jewellery, and yeah, OK, whisky (none of those things are related, I swear).
